The objectives of this work package are:
- To foster the implementation of the promising new water technologies identified in WA1-4
- To assure a swift uptake and achieve high implementation rates for these new technologies, thereby maximizing their impact in the market
The following tasks (with deliverables and milestones) are planned:
T5.2.1: Enabling and constraining factors for a successful technology implementation
This task builds on the institutional approach of the regime framework of Brown et al. (2006) by distinguishing four different levels of routines and standard operating procedures: the individual, intra-organisational, inter-organisational and administrative and regulatory level. The analysis consists of several steps: identification of the routines and standard operating procedures at the individual, intra-organisational, inter-organisational and administrative and regulatory level and the identification of the enabling and constraining factors for successful implementation of technologies of WA1-4.
T5.2.2: Recommendations for impact: Formulating recommendations for the actual uptake of the innovative technologies in the water sector
Specific tools will be provided through this project to support the transfer of technologies initially developed in water technology-related research projects into water practice. A map of target application areas and capacity gaps will be provided along with capacity building documents to stakeholder groups
